FOOD PANTRY OR SHEAF OF WHEAT: Anyone interested in giving a gift to our Church Food Pantry or placing a Sheaf of Wheat on the altar, please see or call Christian Wood, 474-0682
Advanced Adult Sunday School – Join us for an advanced almost seminary level study from Focus on the Family called “The Truth Project.” We’ll be meeting in the Board Room most Sundays beginning September 18th promptly from 8:15-9:15 to allow time for choir practice and getting ready for the morning service and Sunday school. This study is basically a course in Christian Apologetics – how to defend what we believe, and why what we believe is fact and not fiction. A detailed weekly schedule is available on the Adult Bible Study Page.
METHODIST HABITAT HOUSE BUILD. You are needed to help finance and build the 3rd Methodist Habitat House this spring. The first need is fundraising. Habitat currently has about $5,000 in the bank and needs more for their share of the building project. Please make checks payable to LIE District with Habitat Methodist House on the memo line. All donations should be sent to: Long Island East District Treasurer, Attention Habitat Methodist House Building, 357 MacArthur Blvd., Hauppauge, NY 11788. Please see flier in Fellowship Hall for further information. Please inform the church office if you have made or will make a donation.
2012 Mission Events – Two are in the planning stages. Both events will be larger trips in conjunction with multiple churches. The first will be primarily a Youth Missions event to W Virginia July 20-27th. The 2nd event will be for all ages and will be a Vision Missions experience geared for adults who have never participated in a missions event before and will be timed to coincide with the Columbus Day holiday in the Fall – October 6-13. Pastor Dave will be leading and organizing both events
